Main purpose of role:

• To understand and interpret the business requirements, and interpret those through business, systems and technical documentation so that business and technical readers understand what needs to be delivered.
• Assist the Head of Department to drive key internal projects to optimize the business and its operations

Key responsibilities and activities:

• To write Business, Functional and Technical Specifications based on the requirements gathered
• Assist head of department in scoping and costing
• Arrange and facilitate JAD sessions  and workshops with clients and internal stakeholders
• Working closely with the UX team and development to ultimately, create a project “one-stop-shop document”,  for all project stakeholders to leverage from
• Asses and assure that all tasks are adding value to the business
• Demonstrate documentation to different parties
• Be able to operate in an agile, waterfall methodology, or a hybrid of these

Required experience, qualifications and competencies:

• 3+ years industry experience
• Advertising industry experience would be advantageous
• UML Modelling
• Relevant tertiary qualification, Informatics/Computer Science would be advantageous
• Great understanding of SDLC
• Be able to work under pressure, on multiple projects at the same time
• An understanding of the Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and a hybrid of the these two methodologies
• A good understanding of UX and its process, including wireframes and information architectures
• Understand the creative industry and its process would be advantageous
• Have a good understanding of front-end and back-end (including CMS) technologies, and how these two integrate with one another
• Have the capability to map/document 3^rd party integration to various systems
• Manage scope in the project, and assist project managers with itemized detailed items that are in and out of scope – to eliminate scope creep for both front-end and back-end elements
• Review wireframes from the UX department, and provide systematic solutions, and provide input
• Be able to identify risks that will affect the project in anyway, from a process or system pint of view
• Be able to listen, advice, and escalate issues early in the project cycle
• Excellent writing skills
• Assist the QA team in setting up test plans/cases
